131 Landscaping began when Jeff Sajovie Jr was 10 years old. He purchased a used 21-inch Honda push mower, a Stihl trimmer and a gifted hand-held Redmax Blower. Jeff's father, suggested he read the owner's manual of his Honda push mower. Soon after finishing the manual, Jeff began to practice striping lawns. After some practice, the mower was placed in his grandmother's garage on East 131st street in Garfield Heights, where he would mow a few lawns on a weekly basis when coming to visit. Jeff continued to build the business throughout his high school and college years, upgrading equipment and finally expanding to beyond a one-man operation after graduating from the University of Akron in Spring of 2024. To this day, 131 Landscaping still services lawns on East 131st street, some of which were done by the kid that hauled his equipment up and down the street, now 12 years later.
